Mortal Kombat - Late Bloomer?

As much as the legendary game series Mortal Kombat has gripped the hearts of gamers across the nations for years on end, and crushed them, and speared them, and froze them while ripping their heads off, I was shocked to see how low the numbers were on the first week's release. It's almost as if everybody got worn out on the bloodbath and moved on. However: I'm finding as time passes, the new Mortal Kombat game is steadily gaining ground. People that didn't think twice to pass on the prerelease are now cashing their checks early and running to the game store to pick up a copy. The graphix were good, but there's just something different about this one. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it almost feels like this game is somehow different from the rest in the series. The storyboard is the same more or less, and you still climb the eveil empire crushing opponent after opponent, but the new elements of background interaction, new series of moves, added 200+ ex-ray shots, and character remodels really seem to breathe new life to what was becoming a tired series. Is this the beginning of a new era for MK?

Thats cool the ppl in cullman are like family to me lol we eachbhave our own favourite location

so i go to GS in cullman traded some games got 98 $ in store credit then to find out they were out of mortal kombat new and used so i had to go another 20 miles to hartselle man.
needless to say i love this game though everything 10/10 in my book

So you finally got a copy? Nice. Isn't it great?

yeah i did cant stop playing and i also figured out that 8 in the morning is way to early for my eyes to keep up with the fast action of this game it almost made me sick but 30 min later i was good to go and as far as i can tell Kitana is the baddest of them all and Noob Saibot has the best fatality.

dude, don't even get me started on Noob, that's classic Epicness. Hey, we need to play this sometime on breaks in next week's extend meeting that we didn't have this week. Ya know, the one where I was gonna play the connect? hehehe ^_^

Man, I'll soo lend it to you, or we'll get together and beat the krap outta it. It takes bout 1 1/2 hrs as a newbie, but I had it down to like 45 min. 3 hrs to view all the content ^_^
